This is DeWalt's largest, most famous, and best selling motor, the 24vdc replacement motor for its cordless powerdrills of the same voltage.

This is the original version of the motor that made more bots run than any other motor, save the EV Warrior. These motors represent the best value in motor power and price. It is simply the best motor you're going to find for the price, and has a very throughoughly proven track record.

This is DeWalt's NEW VERSION of its 18vdc replacement motor for its cordless powerdrills of the same voltage.

This is the upgraded version of the motor that made SO many bots famous. Easily overvoltable to 24 volts, these motors represent the best value in motor power for its price. It is simply the best motor you're going to find for the price, and it has a very throughoughly proven track record.

Unfortunately, DeWalt doesn't publish nor allow us to see their actual numbers on amperage draw, RPMs, voltage capacities, gear ratios, etc... All the good stuff. We can't imagine this motor performing Much better than the old version.

If you plan to couple this motor to it's intended gearbox, or to any DeWalt gearbox for that matter, choose the option to add the 'Foam seal,' which is a small, styrofoam O-ring made to fit bettween the DeWalt motors and their gearboxes, forming a seal against dust particles andother bad things you don't want to get in your gearbox. Think of it as a $1 insurance plan.

DeWalt started producing it's new versions of the 12, 14, and 18 volt powerdrills to add a third gearing selection. -No one knows why they felt the need to replace the motor to do so, but since the new gearings have a different number of teeth than the old ones, it is usually just much easier to buy the new motor to match it's 3-speed gearbox.

DeWalt 7.2V gearbox and motor combo

This is DeWalt's 7.2v Motor and Gearbox combo, a replacement part for it’s powerdriver of the same voltage. The motor, sold separately (above), was originally produced for DeWalt by Johnson Motors.

The specific numerical values below are DeWalt’s own approximations. There have been times that they have not been found to be accurate. –Sometimes the actual performance is better than what is listed here!
This transmission has 15 different torque settings. The highest setting is at about 80 in-lbs. The highest speed setting is about 500 RPMs.
