Hella
Master Power Switch
Probably
the most popular Master Power Switch in the sport. Don't be fooled
by the generic imitations, this is the true German-made Hella-brand
switch.
Red
key is removable, insert and turn clockwise to turn on, turn counterclockwise
and remove for off.
Depending
on your robot's design, you may want to consider cutting the red
plastic key down and either threading in a small allen head bolt
or just filing a slot for
a flathead screwdriver, so you can turn your robot on and off with
a simple twist of a tool. Then you won't have to worry about the
big key getting knocked off in battle.
-
Continuous rating: 100 amps
- Surge current: up to 1000 amps !
- 3/8" copper terminals, silver-plated
- Comes with one red plastic key
- Weight with key and hardware: 5 oz |

Hella
Contour Master Power Switch
Need
a bigger, heavy duty switch for your current-hungry bot? This
big boy has a hard-to-miss large red knob with two positions,
on and off (90 degrees to each other). The knob is non-removable
when in these positions, so you don't need to fumble for special
tools or a key. However, this switch features a unique setup
where you can remove the knob in the OFF position, by pushing
and twisting it 45 degrees CCW. This is the highest current-handling
switch we carry.
-
Continuous rating: 275 amps
- Surge current of over 1750 amps
- Surface or Recess mount
- Bring wires in from any of 4 sides, each with removable panels
- Bottom plastic panel to completely isolate all connections
- 3/8" copper terminals, silver-plated
- Assembled weight: 7 oz |

money. Red key is removable, insert and turn clockwise to turn
on, turn counterclockwise and remove for off. Key has brass pin
for solid switching interface. Mounting plate includes four holes
for several mounting options. Extra keys not available, sorry.

Heavy
Duty 75 amp Push/Pull Switch
This
is a very popular power switch for robots in many weight classes.
It can handle a continuous 75 amps easily, and has been battle-tested
by many robots.
The
only complaint about this particular switch is that if your robot
is hit hard enough from just the right angle, the switch can be
clicked off from the inertia. We recommend unscrewing the chrome
knob, which acts as a counterweight to push the switch off during
battle. Some builders have also modified this switch through a
double-mounting face, so that they twist the knob onto the threaded
plunger to click it on, then there is no way to click it off without
twisting back the other way.
In
any case, this is a great solution for a master power switch in
combat robots!
-

- Pull on, Push off
- Heavy Duty die cast body, chrome plated knob
