These Chassis were designed for use with the Sanyo NA-series gearmotors, usually in 4WD configuration.
The new Treaded Drive Base Kit is used to make your own treaded robot powered by four motors. This new base design incorperates the new motor mount design which uses a wide screw head to securely mount the motor.

Champ

Kit has wrong battery!`

I bought this as part of the Antweight kit and they shipped the Eflite LiPoly battery (3S 11.1v 800 mAh) which is thicker than the case can handle. The base is excellent, just don't buy the recommended battery.

Do not purchase--

I bought this kit because of the its durable look, which I hoped was reflected in its use. It is rather solid, but the wheel kit is badly designed, leaving you with a great plate form with iffy wheels. The wheels must be pressed on to the D shafts before it is shipped--I noticed discoloration of the plastic when it arrived. Sure enough, a month later I take the tread off to clean it and the wheel breaks. I contacted RMP to see what could be done--they contacted the vendor who said it was due to my improper handling--they suggested I buy another wheel kit. I'm sure I will, since having a bot with broken wheels just isn't the same--I wonder how long this wheel will last.

Bitter Honey

I was looking for a good basis long time.

This drive base kit suitable for hobby and smaller work !

Small, strong, and in addition to fast.

I agree with Dave: " ribbed treads have far more grip than I expected ".

Bitter:
-Slowly arrived in Europe ...
-During the first test: 4 out of faulty engine 1pc (collector broken, after motor 30 sec. run - seized the mechanics)...
-2pcs mechanics cluck. Wheel wobble.

Honey:
-Good design and chassis.
-If I get warranty 2pcs motor mechanics, and good, it is worth ***** (five star !)

I hope now ordered item, works well.
Despite this, I recommend to everyone.

Great antweight drivetrain!

This is a fantastic buy. All the drivetrain components needed for a sturdy, competitive antweight. I own both Inertia Labs kits, and while I'm not normally a fan of treads on combat 'bots, I have to say that this kit is my favorite of the two. The 4WD treaded design ensures that your robot remains fully mobile even if you burn out a drive motor, and the ribbed treads have far more grip than I expected. Unlike the wheeled base, this one can climb, giving it some interesting options in combat. Also, the motors in this kit are far more solidly mounted than in the wheeled kit.

Downsides are the acrylic plastic lid (not shown), which is not combat-worthy. No problem, a simple Lexan panel can replace it. Also, you'll want to add side fenders to protect the treads if you're going to compete; this is the one area where the wheeled base is definitely stronger.
