Now available in either 72Mhz (Aircraft) or 75Mhz (Ground) frequencies!

The FCC regulates that you CANNOT legally use 72Mhz systems for ground-based vehicles, but we get a lot of requests for 72Mhz systems for those of you flying model aircraft. Now you can purchase this system on the 72Mhz frequency from us as well. PLEASE DO NOT attempt to use the 72Mhz system for a ground-controlled robot!

When you buy the 75Mhz ground system, it is configured from the factory specifically for use with ground vehicles such as robots or RC cars/boats. When you buy the 75Mhz Quattro from the Robot MarketPlace, it will come configured without servos (you don't need those for your robot anyway, right?)

JR Quattro FM System - 4 Channels

This is a great, low-cost radio control solution for robot or other Radio-controlled vehicles.

When you first pick up the Quattro Radio System, you may immediately recognize the look and feel of the radio engineered by JR. This transmitter features an easy-to-read three-color LED battery voltage indicator that lets you know at a glance if it's safe to run your machine or if you need to recharge. The Quattro's servo reversing switches for all four channels are located beneath the rechargeable transmitter pack, so you can't accidentally flip them. To better suit your driving/flying style, the Quattro even comes with an adjustable stick length.

Other Quattro standard features include a trainer system which is compatible with all JR brand radios, fully re-chargable NiCds, a carrying handle, and a neck strap eyelet. You know you'll be driving your vehicle with proven electronics with the included R700 7-channel receiver (considerably smaller than equivalent other 7 channel receivers!). A 600mAh NiCd receiver pack, mini switch harness, preinstalled crystals, and dual output transmitter/receiver overnight wall charger make up the rest of the system components. 4 servos also come with the 72Mhz aircraft frequency system.

Finally, there is a quality alternative to budget branded 4-channel radio systems -- The Quattro!

Please note that this is an FM control system (not PCM), and by BattleBots rules, is legal for use in the Lightweight division only. Make sure to verify other event rules to ensure that FM is legal (in most cases, you won't have a problem). If you're looking to build a larger bot, or want the increased range and features of PCM, you should check out the Futaba 7CAP.
