Dagger

Stephen Chapman of Blade Robotics uses the IBC robot controller in his bot, Dagger.

"I use an IBC controller in my 12 pounder DAGGER, in fact I have serial number 001 because I bought the first one sold. I used this controller at NCRSF4, Robot Battles (DragonCon), and the Triangle Series Nationals. I have suffered two defeats where motors were mechanically stalled because of battle damage, but the IBC never skipped a beat. During all my testing, the big heatsink never even got warm. I use every feature on this controller except FLIP and with the IBC I replaced 2 Victors, a Team Delta dual ended switch, an Rx battery, and an Ohmark Mixer. I use the AUX outputs to drive two relays in an H bridge to control DAGGER's electric lifter. The board seems impervious to noise from the relay switching (unlike my previous setup) and I really like the fine control it offers. The designer is a great guy to deal with, always answering what few questions I had quickly. He is a big proponent of robotic combat down under and I enjoy being on the Robowars mailing list."

Trebuchet

Tyler Roberson's 12-pound robot, Trebuchet, uses the IBC dual controller.
