ADVANCED ANTWEIGHT STARTER PACKAGE
You're ready to build your Antweight (1 pound) robot, and you want nothing but the best. This is a great way to get almost everything you need! This package is intended to get you jump-started, saving you the time involved in hunting around for all the right parts before even starting to build.

These parts are selected to work well for a two-wheel-drive, 1 pound robot. With this complete package, you will have all the main components ready to go*. Simply hook everything together on your own platform or chassis, and you'll be driving your bot around soon!

With this package, everything has been optimized for weight-savings! Not couting your Carbon Fiber baseplate/armor, this package's default components collectively weigh only 5.85 ounces! That leaves you about 10 ounces to add on your weapon, armor, etc!

For a battle-ready antweight, all you'll need to provide on your own, beyond this package, are the following items (all of which you could pick up at your local hardware store and electronics store):

- Fasteners (nuts, bolts and wire connectors) Don't be afraid to use hot glue or even duct tape on your antweight!
- A weapon (optional)

Two Copal 60:1 motors
These motors are some of the most popular and successful gearmotors for Antweights. They are chosen mainly for their light weight (only .88oz each) and for their durability, power and ease of use. See the full specifications on these motors here.

Super Light Foam Tires
When you're really trying to save weight but not sacrifice traction and durabilty, these are the wheels for you. Don't be fooled by the fact that they are made out of foam, this is good stuff. Provides superior shock absorption too, which helps prevent damage to your drive system. You will need to build a custom hub mount to get these right on the shafts of the motors above, but it's not hard, in a pinch you can actually get by with LocTite or even Hot Glue. Aluminum Hubs
To properly fasten your wheels to the output shafts of the Copal motors, you need some good hubs. These are a perfect solution, with a 3mm hole in the center (or if you use the 50:1 Copals, 4mm bore). Read more about these hubs here. You get a pack of 2 hubs.
Sabertooth 5 Speed Controller
To control the above motors, you need a good speed controller. This dual channel controller hooks to both motors and your radio receiver together, providing single stick operation without an expensive transmitter with an onboard computer. This controller includes two soldered RC connectors as pictured. Read more about this controller here.
7.4V LiPoly battery
This Antweight kit will run great with this 7.4V, 2 cell, 730mAh Thunderpower Lithium-Polymer battery pack. This is a great, high quality and very lightweight battery. Read more about these batteries here. Please note you MUST use a LiPoly charger for this battery!

Laser 4 - 75Mhz FM Radio Control System
You need a good radio to drive your antweight robot. This radio control system is powerful, but inexpensive. Note that this radio does not provide mixing- where you drive with one stick, so if you want single-stick driving control, you will either need to activate the mixing feature on the Ant 100 controller (built-in), or add in a separate elevon mixer.

This radio includes a receiver that only weighs 38 grams. Read more about this radio system here.

This kit also comes with a power switch that is a perfect match to use for your Antweight's master power to the Antpack battery, as well as to provide a charging jack, at no extra cost. If you don't want to use the switch from the radio kit, you need to buy an extra one here. It also includes a receiver battery pack (which you won't need, because the Ant 100 supplies the power to your receiver).

EFlite 1-2 cell Celectra LiPoly Battery Charger
You need a special charger to recharge LiPoly batteries. This charger is a great inexpensive solution. IMPORTANT NOTE: If you have selected an 11.1V battery pack instead of the standard 7.4V, you need to upgrade to the 1-3 Celectra, 109, 2500, or Multiplex charger! Read more about these chargers here.
Astroflight 12.5A Power Supply
To power the above charger off a standard AC outlet, you need a DC Power Supply. This inexpensive and compact solution will power your charger wherever you can plug into a standard household outlet. Read more about this power supply here.
Carbon Fiber Sample Pack
As far as Antweight armor and baseplates go, there is no other material more suitable than Carbon Fiber. This is actually a sample pack of small pieces that we offer in our Carbon Fiber section, some of the pieces may be of size and shape to use on this Antweight Robot. Or, you may select from a few popular large sheet sizes and cut out your own shapes.
