Tank treads will enable your robot to explore much more demanding terrain than ordinary wheels. Tank treads distribute a vehicle's weight more evenly than wheels, allowing your robot to move more easily in sand or on soft, spongy surfaces into which wheels would sink and bog down. This increased surface area also gives your robot more traction for hauling heavy loads up an incline. And because each link can grip the surface over which it's traveling, a robot with tank treads can more easily climb obstacles or traverse crevasses in which wheels would get stuck.

I scratchbuild 1:16 scale military tanks for a hobby. This track set is perfect for my current project. It's well made, easy to change the length, and made of material that is durable.

Well engineered, no traction on smooth floors

The tracks and bogies were well made and fit together nicely. Instructions are world class. My only complaint is no friction tread plates are included. For an additional 29$ you can get a few of then bundled with other conveyer hardware. In competetion traction and power is king. I couldn't afford to buy enough friction plates so I used a bead of silicone.

Great Fit

I was given a Wall E Clock for christmas that hardly did anything useful. Since then I have hollowed it out and began building it up into a functional robot. These tracks fit perfectly into the design. They are very easy to work with and look great too! The kit comes complete with everything you need.

One of the most useful accessories you could purchase. The extra wide treads with four bogies and upper tread support wheel makes your robot into a real tiger of a robotic tank.

30 dollars for 4 drive/idler wheels 80 links and bogy wheels. a fairly good deal for this much!

Pretty Cool!

The instructions that come are for fitting tank treads generally to any vex robot, i bought these for vexplorer and the instructions are on the Vex Hompage to apply them to vexplorer! they are Surprisingly easy to apply to vexplorer!
