BlinkRC

Hi, after i have test the servo motor with a new BlinkRC, it works. However, when i tested it with channel 2, it no longer works. Then I test it with channel 1 again, it doesn't work anymore. Thus, I hoped you can solve my problem. Thank You.

Works, but check your ESC's voltage

The BlinkRC works as advertised, but watch out for ESCs that provide more than 5.5 V. The EVX-2 ESC in my E-Maxx provides 6.01 V. The BlinkRC ran fine, but that voltage is out of spec.

I have three complaints about the BlinkRC:

1) The BlinkRC does not have separate inputs for servo power and logic power. If you want to run your servos at 6 V, for example, you either need to run the BlinkRC outside its specified voltage range, or make a wiring harness that provides 6 V directly to your servos.

2) The A/D voltage range (0 to 20 V) is mentioned only on the BlinkRC web page, not in its documentation. The device's specifications should be included in the documentation.

3) The A/D inputs have voltage dividers that reduce the voltage by a factor of four, converting the 0-20 V input to 0-5 V. That's fine if you are using an A/D to measure the battery voltage, but results in very low resolution if you are measuring 0-5 V inputs. A jumper to bypass the voltage division would be a welcome change.

The BlinkRC is great for people who just want to run their RC car from their phone. I'm using mine for robotics, so my project's needs are a bit more unusual.

Finally! WiFi servo controls!

This baby is tiny! And, they include sample applications for the iPhone and the PC. I've tested it out of the vehicle and it seems to work well so far. It'll take me a bit before I've got it mounted in a robot. So, I'll update the review when I get more experience with it.
