Doesn't work the best for larger light flight wheels, but you can modify them a lot if you need to to make it work better for the larger wheels.

The screws provided are for mounting with the center hole. If you want to use the perimeter holes, I suggest tapping them for 4-40 crews, and using ones of your choice of length.

Even though thre wasnt enough screws on the base of the hub i found this hub great.It was like the hub was made for the wheels i was using it for.But only one negetive, there should be enough screws in the set, because i only got 4 screws. when 7 screws were needed.

as advertised but still not great

although the hub is as advertised it was not the quality i expected. there are not enough screws provided to make a nice fit on any wheel and the screws provided are much too long for most shafts/wheels. shipping wasn't too bad but not great. there also wasn't a very snug fit on my 6mm shafts and if not extremely well tightened they tend to wobble. it's impossible to widen the tiny mounting holes around the edge since there is minimal surface to do so. i'd buy different ones next time personally.

Wheel Hubs Review

They seemed as advertised. I would have preferred a hub with a 5/16" center bore, but I was able to bore it out and still get the set screw to tighten. I'm not familiar with the wheel that these hubs are supposed to fit, but I needed a sheet metal or plastic type of screw and they came with machine screws. It was difficult to locate #2 sheet metal screws.

Wheel Hubs Review

These hubs do not fit as presented. They do not mount to Lite-Flite wheels. If it is a small size Lite-Flight wheel, you might be able to get away with running a long screw down the center but this is not a dependable way to transmit torque from the hub to the wheel. If you are using a larger size Lite-Flight wheel, you will have to perform extensive modifications to mount the hubs properly, and since the Lite-Flite wheels themselves feature flimsy pressed-in plastic hubs, you are likely to not be thrilled with the results. Lastly, these hubs do not fit the shafts of some of the motors that are presented as being compatible with these hubs, and there is not enough material to drill them out and still have enough meat for the set screw to grab. I ended up turning my own hubs. It was the only way to go. Maybe these hubs do work with very specific motor/wheel combinations. The vendor should be more accurate in their representations of the instances where these hubs are a truly applicable.

6mm hubs

The screw down the middle is not the complete torque transfer. The torque is transferred via the hub itself (set screw to the shaft) against the press-fit of the wheel to the hub. If you need a more secure connection, a CA glue or hot glue of the hub against the soft lite flite can help. The screw is simply meant to hold the two sides of the wheel (one side plastic Lite Flite, other side aluminum flange of hub) securely together.

As for the hub being used with some of our motors with 7mm shafts, yes there is sufficient 'meat' left when boring it out from 6mm to 7mm. The wall of the hub after re-boring measures out at 2.85mm, down from 3.35mm, still plenty thick enough to support a shaft and keeping enough threads on the set-screw hole.

Please be sure to read the installation guide when using these with Lite Flite wheels. Half of the plastic hub is meant to be discarded. Do NOT use both halves of the plastic lite flite wheel with this hub, we find that a lot of our customers make this simple mistake. You need to pull the two plastic halves of the Lite Flite wheel apart and throw out one side when using this hub.
