The Albatros D III was a single-seat scout fighter that entered service in early 1917. Equipped with two fixed 7.92 mm LMG 08/15 machine-guns and a top speed of 109 mph, the DIII was a major asset for the Germans in World War I. Lieutenant Hermann Gorin.
