0-GWS1035 GWS P-51 Mustang Park Flyer ARF
Following hot on the heels of their popular Zero Park Flyer, GWS takes a page from the European theatre of WWII history with the introduction of their new P-51 Park Flyer. Fully aerobatic, this foam ARF is a great way to experience warbird thrills in the friendly confines of your favorite sunny summer day hangout.

The excess power of the P-51's EPC300C power unit, a 370 motor and gearbox, allows you to enjoy the best of both worlds: easy breezy slow- speed cruising or unbridled aerobatic bliss. The Mustang's slow-speed stability is outstanding, with no startling tip stall tendencies to watch out for. At the other end of the performance spectrum, its aerobatic repertoire includes loops from level flight (inside or out), barrel rolls, and even inverted flight. The extra power also lets you take to the skies in breezes of as much as 10mph that would ground most other park flyers. All in all, there really isn't a whole lot this go-anywhere fun machine can't do.

Like GWS's other park flyer kits, there's not a lot of assembly required to get the Mustang airborne. The fuselage and wing parts come out of the box already painted in silver. What minor assembly is left can be accomplished over a weekend without breaking a sweat. While hardware and the motor system are included, the modeler does need to provide a radio and flightpack of their own. GWS offers several electronics packages tailor made for the Mustang from entire systems with transmitter to just the flight packs. Once assembled, depending on the equipment chosen, the Mustang will weigh in at around 16-18 ounces.

We'd have to say, unequivocally, the new GWS is ounce-for-ounce one of the most thrilling park flyer experiences out there. Its combination of slow-speed stability and rock-and-roll aerobatic ability are definitely a departure from the usual park flyer fare.
