DigiMix-II is an advanced programmable servo mixer for R/C ‘flying wings’ and/or V-Tail aircraft. It also works great for robots when you want to achieve the convenience of 'single-stick' driving.

It includes features that are normally only found on computerized radio systems, allowing customized set-up of control surface movement. This feature makes DigiMix-II ideal from beginner to advanced pilots, where sensitivity may be adjusted according to pilot ability. Experienced pilots may increase sensitivity beyond the normal range offered by standard radio equipment, by programming full servo travel (120%) for extreme & fast manoeuvres.

Great value in this mixer!

I bought this mixer to get differential wheel braking on a 33% Super Cub. One servo for each brake caliper. Using a slider for brake application and a Y-harness from the rudder. The mixer's programmable feature allowed me to adjust the amount of steering bias compared to braking. This would have been a real hassle to achieve with a linkage.

I also used the v-tail mixer to mock up differential motor steering on a twin-engine airplane, mixing rudder and throttle. It even works with a gyro on the rudder channel! Not even my high-end Futaba transmitter can mix in a gyro. Again, the programmable feature of the Digimix allows adjustment in the amount of differential thrust.

Great functionality in a lightweight and inexpensive product!

OK with 2.4Ghz ?

I've seen a few comments that some V tail mixers have interference issues when used with 2.4Ghz radio gear - is this unit free of those issues ?

Digimix II (small correction)

After observing the mixer's behavior in a flying wing for a while, I must admit, that it does generate some degree of RF interference with my unsophisticated single conversion crystal-based 35 MHz RX. The interference causes plane's motor to periodically shut down, when flying in less then perfect reception conditions, such as close to the ground. It is probably less severe than with a Chinese 200-step mixer, but may limit the usefulness of the mixer with high flying planes or cheap RX (its main market).

Digimix II

This is an excellent mixer, way better than cheap 200-step Chinese mixers. Super smooth servo travel, does not inject RF interference back into the HF receiver, the output instantly follows input without any delays or skipped update cycles. The ability to program maximum servo arm deflection and to reverse input channels is very useful. One minor issue is that the full deflection of both input channels is clipped to 1x programmed full deflection of output channels, even if the latter is set to less than normal full deflection and could accept 2x deflection.

the dionysus does not have settable travel endpoints like this does, plus other advantages. both are listed as 600 stepping, not like 200 gws versions

Digimix II

This is my third mixer. The first two still work very well. Needed another one for another plane. Very easy to use and instructions are clear and complete. Also saved money on having to buy a computer radio. You won't go wrong when purchasing one of these.

Why buy this mixer instead of the cheaper kinds elsewhere? It is obvious upon receive the item that there was work put into creating this product. If your in the US. It will get to you very quick, shipping is from FL. For me, I didn't even have to program anything. This item came ready to go... Instruction are in color and clear... 5Stars...lol lol Sweet.

great little mixer, worth spending the extra money to get the additional functionality.

Mixes two channels allowing travel adjustment on both channels and servo reversing.
Setup is straight forward just ensure you do it in the correct sequence. Instructions are clear enough.
I use it in a zagi flying wing for elevon mixing. saved me having to buy a computer TX for the mixing functions!

This is a very impressive V-Tail Mixer. I am using it in conjunction with stabilizing gyro's for a DF jet.

It's resolution is very high and so ensures VERY smooth stepping of the servos. They appear seamless thanks to the +600 resolution.

I highly recommend spending the extra dollars and getting this mixer rather than the cheaper varieties out their rated at 200 resolution. They are just too steppy for good gyro response and general use where at least some accuracy of servo position is required.
