Robot MarketPlace - BattleSwitch 10A R/C Switch

BattleSwitch is the larger, 10A version of our popular PicoSwitch. BattleSwitch is a relay switch that you toggle via hobby radio control gear. You can use BattleSwitch to quickly and easily control glow plugs, BattleBot weaponry and more. You can activate applications with voltage levels as high as 240VAC without having to know anything about microcontroller logic levels or transistors because the relay offers full electrical isolation from your receiver electronics.

BattleSwitch plugs into a standard hobby radio control receiver as easily as a servo does. You connect the load that you want to toggle using BattleSwitch's wear resistant screw terminals. Depending on the channel you use, you will then be able to control the relay by moving your radio's control stick up or down, left or right, or another method you desire.

BattleSwitch has a status LED on the bottom. The LED will light up when the relay switch is on, and vice versa. It will also tell you if your radio link is too weak by flashing repeatedly.

The relay is a single pole double throw switch. Its typical lifetime is 100,000 switching cycles, depending on how heavy a load you are using.

BattleSwitch does not supply power at the screw terminals.

Worked as intended

Used this in a college senior design project class with Arduino microcontroller. It worked superbly. The clicking of the coil/switch could get a little old hearing it go off.
This component works off of black magic. I do not know of any relay that can use 5v coil to relay power to higher voltage/amperage device other than this battleswitch. (1/2) star off for the clicking noise.

BattleSwitch 10A R/C Switch

Great product! It is exactly what I needed. I have it hooked to my AUX port on my r/c rcvr and use it to activate a dip switch configurator circuit that I built that allows me to switch between "EZ-Robot" control and R/C control.

Awesome!!!!

I've been searching high and low for a switch like this and was very happy when it arrived in South Africa. I use it to fire a electronic paintball gun via a arduino board. Works very well. I don't suppose anyone knows if there is another one out there that can switch a lot quicker?

I like that fact that this little switch doesn't take up a whole lot of room in my robot. I use it to turn on/off an arduino to put the robot into autonomous mode. It does the job nicely!!!

Works great

I'm using this to drive the 24V 120 Series SPNO White-Rodgers Solenoid, and it works great. I'm using the solenoid to switch my Magmotor S28-150 on and off, powered by two 12v Battlepacks in series (NiCD 3AH).

Battle Switch

I have used the Battle Switch in two RC airplanes with an on-board glow igniter system that I designed. Actually, a fairly simple and straight forward system that uses 1.5V battery to power the engine glow plug when activated by the transmitter. I use an unused channel on the transmiter, the gear up and down channel. The system works great using the Battle Switch.
