This is one of the smallest and lightest servos around! Amazingly lightweight and compact, but this servo still has plenty of power! Internal ball bearings for smooth and accurate control. Smaller and lighter than a standard servo, but delivers the same performance! Great for use in small robots or for installations where space is tight. Comes with several different servo arms as well as mounting hardware.

Dave B's two star review is totally off the mark here. Nowhere in the product description does it state the servo is easily modifiable but Dave B. gives it a low rating because he couldn't turn this micro servo into a continuous rotation motor. Just a sub-par review IMO.

Not so great for hacking

The description tells us that this servo is "great for use in small robots," but be warned: this servo is a huge pain to modify. Firstly, it is held together by a band of heat shrink plastic and the label stickers--no screws or bolts anywhere. Secondly, everything is VERY tightly packed in there, and the potentiometer is virtually unreachable--it is not attached to the driver circuit, but actually riveted to the upper inside of the housing, just underneath the plastic gears. You'll need to cut the leads from the pot and solder in resistors in some awkward locations. Can't recommend this servo for hacking for continuous rotation.

For unmodified use, this servo seems fine. A tiny and unbelievably light unit, it would work in a variety of light-duty applications. The motor isn't supported very well, but the construction should be robust enough for the torque the servo produces. Also the bearings are not sealed, but the opening is minimal and shouldn't prevent much of a problem.
